03Your enquiry

What should you include in your enquiry?

You do not need a finished plan to ask about garden rooms in Newcastle, but a few details help us give useful advice from the start.

  • Your garden. Its rough size and a few photos of the spot you have in mind, including any slopes, trees or walls.
  • Rough dimensions. The size of room you are imagining, even if it is a guess. We can advise on what fits within the planning rules.
  • How you will use it. For example, a garden office, studio, gym or lounge.
  • Access. Tell us if there is a side path into the garden and roughly how wide it is. Many terraced and semi-detached homes in areas such as Jesmond and Gosforth have narrow access, and we plan around it.
  • Timescale. When you would like the room ready.
  • Budget. An approximate range helps us suggest the right specification. Our garden room costs guide explains what affects the price.
